About Koreazle
Koreazle is a global home for Korean word puzzles. The site lives at koreazle.com and ships with both English and Korean interfaces, so it works for learners around the world as well as native speakers. Today it runs a single game — a jamo-level daily puzzle. More Korean word games will join over time.
Current game — Jamo Wordle
Koreazle's first game is a daily puzzle in which you guess a Korean word at the jamo level. One word a day, six jamo, six tries. See the How to Play page for the full rules.
Guessing at the jamo level — rather than full syllable blocks — surfaces how Hangul is actually built from consonants and vowels. For learners, that turns each puzzle into a small lesson in Korean's writing system; for native speakers, it makes a familiar script feel new again.
Data source
Word entries and semantic categories come from Urimalsaem, the Korean Open Dictionary published by the National Institute of Korean Language (opendict.korean.go.kr). Koreazle uses this data in accordance with its terms of use and license.
